Bentley has shown the convertible sister to the new Continental GT coupe: it's the new Conti GTC, due to be unveiled at the 2011 Frankfurt motor show. Chrysler Group is developing a supercharged Hemi V8 with power approaching the 640 hp of the SRT Viper's V10. The 6.2-liter engine, code-named Hellcat, is expected to debut on the next-generation Dodge Challenger and perhaps other vehicles, according to sources within Chrysler. General Motors is recalling 36,413 Chevrolet Impala police vehicles from model years 2008 to 2012. The problem is with the front lower control arm, which may fracture. GM says it may cause tire chirping at low speeds and could result in loss of control of the vehicle at higher speeds, leading to a crash.
